About Kelly
Kelly Sullivan serves as a National Sales Account Manager and Account Executive at EW Scripps, a role she has held since moving to the company after two years at Comcast. She began her media career in 2020 following a layoff from a sports technology startup during COVID, starting as a sales assistant at AMC Networks where she was promoted to media sales planner after two years. Sullivan studied sport and entertainment management and hospitality in college and now focuses on national media sales, handling client requests for TV commercials, managing schedules, solving problems with programming changes, and collaborating on digital initiatives. She is the youngest member of her team and aims to master the business and become a leader within five years. Sullivan values respect, openness to new ideas and people, and open communication in both her professional and personal life. She advises young women entering the field to ask questions and build genuine connections with colleagues at all levels by reaching out for coffee or chats to learn and connect as people.

Ten minutes with Kelly
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Asking questions is really important. Growing connections with anyone, even higher ups, by asking VPs or managers to grab coffee or Zoom to chat, not just when needing a job but to learn and connect as humans. It's nice to talk about non-work things too.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Respect is a big one that I value and try to show others in the workplace and personal life. Openness to ideas, new experiences, and people that might not align with you. Communication is huge, especially since everything is technology-focused and AI can't communicate like a person, making the workplace better with open channels.
