Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kelly

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of resilience, perspective, and purpose. I learned self-reliance early in life, and that foundation was strengthened through caring for my mother during her chemotherapy, which ultimately sparked my interest in pharmacy. I later supported my uncle through his cancer treatment as well, experiences that deeply shaped how I view both healthcare and responsibility.

Those moments gave me a clear sense of purpose and a strong internal drive. I’ve carried that with me throughout my career, using both the challenges and the lessons from those experiences as motivation to stay focused, work hard, and consistently deliver results. More than anything, I’m driven by a desire to honor the people who shaped me and to make an impact that would make them proud.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Early in my career, I focused heavily on performance, but I learned quickly that how you show up matters just as much as what you deliver. Consistency, reliability, and strong relationships have been just as critical to my growth as technical expertise. The combination of results and reputation is what creates real opportunity.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Have the audacity to put yourself forward, even before you feel fully ready. Confidence often follows action, not the other way around.

Don’t wait for permission to take on challenges or pursue opportunities—raise your hand, ask questions, and make your goals known. Build your network intentionally, stay curious, and commit to mastering your craft.

Most importantly, focus on consistently delivering results. Credibility is built over time, and when you combine strong performance with confidence and persistence, opportunities will follow.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in the 340B space right now is navigating increasing complexity—particularly around manufacturer restrictions, evolving regulatory expectations, and the operational strain those changes place on covered entities. Many organizations are being asked to do more with less while managing compliance risk and maintaining program integrity.

At the same time, this creates a significant opportunity. As the landscape becomes more complex, there is a growing need for smarter strategies, better data visibility, and more innovative approaches to program management. Organizations that can adapt and leverage the right tools and insights are well positioned to not only protect their programs, but to strengthen them and expand their impact on patient access and community health.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Caring for others, advocacy, resilience, and service are central to both my professional and personal life. My experiences with caregiving have shaped a deep sense of responsibility and empathy that guides how I approach my work and relationships.

I believe in showing up with integrity, following through on commitments, and contributing in ways that create meaningful impact. These values keep me grounded and continue to drive my focus on supporting others, both within healthcare systems and in the communities they serve.
