Kelsey Austin-Wright, MS, LMFT, RYT

Kelsey Austin-Wright, MS, LMFT, RYT is a licensed marriage and family therapist and the owner of Painted Skies PLLC, where she provides client-centered, evidence-based mental health services through a virtual private practice. Licensed as an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist, Kelsey currently serves clients across Texas, Ohio, and Colorado, offering accessible, compassionate care tailored to individuals, couples, and families navigating complex life challenges. Her work is grounded in a systemic perspective that honors the interconnectedness of relationships, wellness, and resilience.

Kelsey brings a diverse clinical background shaped by experience across higher education, addiction recovery, behavioral health care management, and collegiate recovery programs. She previously served as Assistant Director for Collegiate Recovery at Baylor University, supporting student engagement, wellness initiatives, and recovery-oriented programming. Her earlier roles include therapist positions in addiction treatment settings, behavioral health care management at Mindoula, and alcohol and other drug prevention work at Texas Tech University, where she facilitated evidence-based interventions and educational programming. Across settings, she is recognized for ethical practice, collaboration, and a strong commitment to quality care.

A dedicated scholar-practitioner, Kelsey holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University. She is an active leader within the profession, serving as a Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors and Conference Committee Co-Chair for the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Kelsey is also a published author, contributing to peer-reviewed research and professional texts on couple functioning, recovery, and resilience. Her additional credentials include Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Wilderness First Responder, reflecting her holistic, wellness-oriented approach to mental health care.
