About Kelsey
Kelsey Bowman serves as Marketing Manager for a medical manufacturing company that produces hydrotherapy tubs used by high school through D1-D3 college teams as well as professional NBA, NFL, and MLB teams for athlete recovery. She began in an intern role during the spring of the previous school year, was promoted to marketing supervisor, and then to marketing manager. She enrolled at Marietta in 2022 pursuing a marketing major and later added a minor in graphic design. Outside her primary role, she manages social media for the Start Westward Memorial Society, a non-profit organization.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I was raised by a single mother. And I always saw her do everything and 10 times beyond. And she did all by herself. My dad passed away when I was young. She didn't miss a day at work. ... she went back to college. Got a nursing degree... That's just always shown me that you can do anything you set your mind to, and the people that are often in spaces where they're not succeeding is because they're not putting their full self out there.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
In the field that I'm in, it's pretty male-dominated. It doesn't matter. You if you make yourself small, they'll sue you small. If you go in the first day and have respect for yourself, and have respect for others, but also hold your own. ... not putting my age as a factor, or my gender, and just being Kelsey.
