About Kelsey
Kelsey Hart is the Founder and CEO of Creative Honey Badger, a premium web development and digital strategy agency officially launched in 2024 and based in Pocatello, Idaho, United States. The agency specializes in custom website design, integrated SEO fundamentals, and strategic marketing for service-based businesses and consultants. Under her leadership, Creative Honey Badger delivers the signature “Fierce Launch VIP” experience—a streamlined, high-impact process that takes clients from strategy to fully launched, conversion-focused WordPress websites in an accelerated timeframe while maintaining a strong emphasis on quality, performance, and long-term scalability.
With approximately 15 years of experience across media, technology, web development, and digital marketing, Kelsey brings a multidisciplinary background that blends creative direction with technical execution. Her career began in freelance graphic and web design, where she developed foundational expertise in branding, visual communication, and digital storytelling. She later expanded into software development and technical roles, strengthening her capabilities in front-end development, systems architecture, and marketing technology. These combined experiences ultimately led to the formation of Creative Honey Badger, a unified agency designed to integrate design, development, SEO, and marketing strategy into cohesive, results-driven digital solutions.
Kelsey’s professional philosophy is centered on building websites that function as active business assets rather than static online brochures. She develops fully custom, non-template-based websites engineered to improve visibility, strengthen credibility, and drive measurable conversions for her clients. Her early exposure to graphic design in high school sparked her interest in creative and digital fields, and she has since developed the majority of her expertise through continuous self-directed learning and hands-on professional experience. She is also actively involved in entrepreneurial and business communities, including the East Idaho Mastermind Group (as founding member and co-leader), Connect Idaho, and other regional networking organizations focused on business growth and collaboration.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kelsey
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith, which provides me with clarity, purpose, and resilience in both personal and professional decisions. I also credit the strong support and accountability I receive from my community and mastermind groups, particularly the East Idaho Mastermind Group, which has played a meaningful role in my growth as a business owner and leader. In addition, I am largely self-taught, having invested significant time in developing my skills through continuous learning and hands-on experience. Ultimately, I believe my success is the result of consistently choosing to take bold, intentional action rather than remaining stagnant, even in uncertain or challenging circumstances.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t let being in a male‑dominated field intimidate you. If you are interested in tech, design or marketing, you can learn and succeed — be bold, learn continuously, and don’t let fear keep you from trying.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the key challenges in my field is that it remains largely male-dominated, particularly in areas such as web development, technical strategy, and agency leadership, which can impact visibility and access to certain professional networks. At the same time, there is a growing opportunity as more women step into leadership roles across technology and digital strategy, helping to diversify the industry and expand innovation. Additionally, there is increasing demand from service-based businesses for custom, strategy-driven websites that go beyond templates, creating strong opportunities for integrated solutions that combine web design, SEO, and marketing strategy to support real business growth.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are faith, community support, and building honest, meaningful relationships. I prioritize showing up with integrity in everything I do, which means staying true to my principles and avoiding people-pleasing in favor of authenticity and clarity. I also value boldness and tenacity choosing to take decisive action, embrace challenges, and persist through uncertainty rather than staying stagnant or comfortable.
