Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I've just always been flexible and able to work around situations. I don't like to make anybody wait - I'm a very impatient person myself, and when I'm asking for a roofer to come look at my roof and fix a leak, I want that help as soon as possible. So I think I've been successful because I'm detail-oriented, I'm quick to respond, and I'm quick to provide a solution. I'll never just leave the customer in the dark. I like to hear customers out, understand what's going on, understand what their pain points are, and then bring them the solution that I feel will best fit them, regardless of how much money it makes me, because I really don't care about that. I want to make sure that we are helping our customers and meet them where they are today, not feeling like they have to completely rework their models, just kind of introduce a solution or a new technology based off of what their current pain points are.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t wait until you feel 100% ready... take the opportunity and figure it out, challenge yourself, and you will grow! Growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Stay curious and keep building your technical skills! IT evolves fast, so continuous learning is key. Don’t hesitate to ask questions or speak up, even in technical conversations. Find mentors and a support network, get out to local tech events, and look for hands-on experience wherever you can. Most importantly, trust your abilities and don’t let being underrepresented make you second-guess your place in the room.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges is keeping up with how fast technology is evolving, especially around cybersecurity and AI. At the same time, that creates huge opportunities!! There is strong demand for skilled sales professionals, and plenty of room to grow and specialize in areas like outsourcing, automation, and AI.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, accountability, and continuous growth are most important to me. I value being someone others can rely on, always learning and improving, and maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.
