Kendra Cross
Kendra Cross is a health and hospitality industry professional whose career reflects a deep commitment to balance, creativity, and holistic well-being. With a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from San Diego State University, Kendra began her professional journey in communications, construction, and real estate before discovering her true calling in therapeutic and wellness-based care. Her ability to connect, communicate, and create meaningful experiences has been a consistent thread throughout every chapter of her career.
For more than 17 years, Kendra has worked as a licensed massage therapist, serving a diverse clientele that includes athletes, professionals, and individuals seeking restorative care. She currently practices at premier wellness destinations in southern Utah, including Black Desert Resort and Red Mountain Resort, where she is known for her skilled, intuitive approach to bodywork. Her expertise spans medical and spa massage, harmonic sound and touch therapy, and customized therapeutic treatments, all delivered with a strong focus on longevity, body mechanics, and whole-person healing.
Beyond her work in wellness, Kendra is also a writer and mixed media artist, creating watercolor paintings, murals, and custom art installations that bring beauty and intention into residential and commercial spaces. Guided by her belief that life is about balance—personal, professional, and spiritual—she views creativity not only as artistic expression, but as the ability to create solutions, ideas, opportunities, and peace. Inspired by nature, movement, and her role as a parent, Kendra continues to infuse her work and life with joy, purpose, and a deep respect for the harmony within and around us.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women entering the massage therapy field to seek out as much hands-on experience as possible and to build a strong foundation in anatomy, including learning Latin terminology. I also recommend exploring a wide range of massage techniques and treatments to discover what resonates most with them. Massage therapy is a diverse and evolving field—from therapeutic and clinical work to modalities such as Reiki and spa-based treatments—and staying curious and open to learning can help shape a fulfilling and successful career.
