Her Story

About Kendra

Kendra Hall is an entrepreneur, podcast host, virtual assistant, digital consultant, media manager, writer, and mental health advocate based in North Carolina. She is the creator and host of MindfullyHer, a platform centered on mental health wellness that combines her personal experiences with insights from therapists, doctors, and other professionals. Through her work, Hall seeks to create meaningful connections and provide encouragement to individuals who may feel alone, while using vulnerability and authenticity to make conversations surrounding mental health more accessible.

Hall's professional background also includes experience in healthcare, nonprofit services, administration, customer service, and digital media. She previously worked as a Medical Assistant, developing strong patient advocacy and healthcare experience, and has since expanded her career into entrepreneurship and digital consulting. Through Hall Digital Media, she provides digital and content-related services, while her nonprofit work includes supporting the National Council on Family & Domestic Violence with virtual assistance, projects, events, content creation, newsletters, and social media. Her diverse professional experiences have allowed her to combine healthcare knowledge, administrative skills, communication, and digital media in service-oriented roles.

A strong believer in personal growth and continuous learning, Hall credits vulnerability, authenticity, and the encouragement she received from her grandmother as important influences on her development. She is particularly passionate about advocating openly for the mental health community and believes that mental health should be discussed and supported with the same seriousness as other areas of health. Beyond her professional pursuits, Hall is also involved with Step Up Ministry and has a personal interest in writing poetry and short stories, cooking, and creating meaningful experiences with her daughter. Her long-term mission is to continue growing MindfullyHer and use her platform to reach and positively impact more people.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kendra

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being brave enough to be vulnerable and personable with others. Sharing my own experiences and personal story has allowed me to connect with people in an authentic way and use those experiences to benefit others.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I have received came from my grandmother, who challenged me to recognize that if I did not change my attitude and my ways, I could end up alone. Her words encouraged me to make meaningful changes in my life, pursue education, and work toward a better path for myself.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to be honest with themselves, because authenticity is especially important when working within the mental health community. Be vulnerable, be brave, and understand that meaningful change requires a willingness to be part of the solution. If you are not committed to helping create positive change, do not waste time pursuing work that does not align with that purpose.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of my biggest challenges is growing the audience for MindfullyHer and encouraging more people to follow, download, and listen to the podcast across different platforms. Expanding its reach represents an important opportunity to connect with more people and continue creating conversations around mental health and wellness.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Advocating for the mental health community is extremely important to me. I believe in speaking openly and consistently about mental health and treating it with the same seriousness and attention that we give to other health conditions. I believe it is important to speak out and advocate for greater awareness, even when I am not personally affected by a particular issue.
