About Kendra
My professional journey has taken me through diverse fields and experiences. I earned my undergraduate degree in international studies while pursuing archaeobotany and archaeology, then completed my graduate degree in public history, focusing on anthropology and archaeology. When that path didn't pan out the way I thought, I pivoted and ended up working in higher education, which I absolutely loved. I did a lot of program development, program logistics, and project management work there. I then moved into the corporate field, continuing in program management until I was laid off in August of last year. Since then, I've been networking, building connections through organizations, working on trainings, and focusing on opportunities in the tech and outdoors industries. I'm also in the early stages of building Hills Are My Pills, LLC, a sibling business with my sister and brother that combines my love for the outdoors with supporting mental health and overall wellness. We've established our LLC and are working on building our brand, starting with marketing apparel to encourage people to get outdoors more and keep moving their bodies to be in a better mental place. I also authored a mindfulness journal called Breathe In, Breathe Outside, which is currently available for purchase on Amazon and aligns with our business mission.
