Her Story

About Kenia

Kenia Delgado serves as Head of Workplace Hospitality for a global foodservice organization. In this role, she leads a very large multi-site hospitality operation serving corporate workplaces in New York and New Jersey. She focuses on the intersection of hospitality, operations, and workplace experience, building teams that deliver consistent experiences for employees, clients, and customers. With at least 15 years in the hospitality field following an earlier career in food brand marketing, Kenia attributes her success to hands-on experience working with people and managing teams, finding great mentors, and maintaining internal confidence. She notes that leadership involves setting clear expectations, listening to people, and being effective regardless of gender. In an industry that remains male-dominated, she observes that women are gaining seats at the table, though equal representation will take time. Kenia advises young women entering the field to step into new opportunities, trust that skills are transferable, stay curious, build relationships, and not wait until feeling 100 percent ready. Her values center on having influence without needing the biggest title, building trust in leadership, creating opportunities for others, developing people into stronger leaders, and lifting others while leading. She holds a culinary degree and completed bartending school, along with courses in leadership, executive presence, and articulation. Outside of work, she volunteers teaching catechism classes and has started building a culinary site for her town.
