Her Story
About Kenzie
I've been working in advertising for about 7 years now, and I've always been an art director. Throughout my career, I've been lucky to be able to do all sorts of different projects and integrated campaigns - I've done social media, television, out of home, pop-ups, print, pretty much any medium you can think of. If there's an ad for it, I've probably done something in that medium. One accomplishment I'm really proud of is working on a client for a couple of years and being able to see them grow. They started trusting our creative abilities, and that being proven within the data of their business was pretty awesome to see. It proved that good ideas and good creative does really work, and it takes great clients to trust that and know that it can really help solve their business problems. It's exciting to see that trajectory grow over time and know that you had a part in helping them.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I think a big thing I've learned is just being able to find confidence in your authenticity, and know that you have something special to bring to the table, and that your voice is important. Being true to yourself goes a long way. I think starting out in this field, it's really scary and nerve-wracking, but you find the right people, and you find people who value you, and you should always just find that through being yourself and being true to yourself, which sounds kind of basic, but I think it's really important. Also, set boundaries when you can, and just take care of your mental health is a big thing as well.
