Her professional identity is shaped by her work in crisis advocacy, therapeutic support, and leadership development, as well as her commitment to advancing mental wellness across diverse communities. Through Jenkins Family Services, LLC and her speaking platform, Keshia Jenkins Speaks, she delivers keynote presentations, workshops, and consulting services focused on mental health awareness, trauma recovery, and leadership growth. Her work includes life coaching, corporate training, public speaking, and grant writing support for organizations seeking funding and structural development. She has also served in roles such as Therapeutic Support Specialist for the State of Ohio, substitute teacher within Cincinnati Public Schools, and Chief Executive Officer in the wellness and consulting space, reflecting a career dedicated to both education and community-based impact. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the inner strength I have cultivated through meditation, which has helped me build clarity, discipline, and resilience. These skills were developed from the power, prayer and leadership of influential women I've encountered.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever recieved was, follow the commands of moral principles, integrity and class. Highlighting the importance of creating these tools as guides throughout life and my professional path.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to intentionally invest in building a strong community and surround yourself with a supportive tribe. Focus on developing meaningful, healthy relationships through consistent and authentic networking, as these connections can open doors, provide guidance, and support long-term growth.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges are convincing other professionals women how to put themselves in a greater position of healing and nolonger placing themselves last.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Creating a foundation and system of meditation, healing and fasting for overall clarity and balance are values that are most important in my work and personal life. Also continuing to be the example of peace that I strive to build in others.
