What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the ability to connect with people on an emotional level while leveraging technical insights. While many professionals understand the technical aspects of their work, I’ve found that pairing that knowledge with a deep awareness of how people feel and how they navigate change is what truly makes a difference. In fields as complex and sensitive as AI and security, it’s essential to genuinely connect with others and approach every interaction with a mindset of helping and supporting them.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that it’s a small world and a small industry, so the connections you make—and the help you offer—can have long-lasting impact. I’ve always kept this in mind because even small gestures or seemingly minor acts of support can make a big difference to someone, often in ways you won’t see until years later. Throughout my career, I’ve experienced firsthand how helping others builds trust and opens doors, and I’ve also had the opportunity to pay it forward. In the tech world, genuinely wanting the best for your peers and supporting them is one of the most powerful ways to grow and succeed.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be bold and unapologetic—don’t make yourself feel small, and don’t let others do it for you. Lean into the support around you; you don’t have to navigate this alone. There are people who genuinely want to help, so be open, ask the tough questions, and embrace opportunities to learn. Often, the biggest limitations we face are the ones we place on ourselves, so challenge your own thinking and never underestimate what you can achieve.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The field of AI is constantly evolving, and many of the rules and processes are still being defined. One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—is that we are often shaping the standards and best practices for AI security as we go. On the customer side, this work can reveal difficult truths, and guiding clients through those challenges isn’t always easy. Yet, supporting them through this process and helping navigate these complexities is incredibly rewarding and allows us to make a meaningful impact on the future of the industry.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the value I hold most important, both in my work and personal life. In fields like sales and security, it serves as the foundation for everything we do. Being direct, transparent, and communicative—especially when challenges arise—is essential. Equally important is knowing when to ask for help and collaborating effectively with others. I deeply respect and strive to embody this mindset, valuing teamwork, openness, and a willingness to support one another.
