Her Story

About Kiarra

Kiarra Gardiner serves as Director of Patient Access and Pre-Access Services for a revenue cycle management consulting firm. With 13 years of experience in the field and in her current role since May 2025, she oversees enterprise-wide point-of-service performance across more than 30 clients. Her responsibilities include supporting leaders with education on revenue cycle elements, implementing initiatives to enhance collections, and guiding associates in conducting transparent financial discussions with patients at scheduling and registration. These conversations help patients understand their benefits, liabilities, and available options such as payment plans and financial assistance. Kiarra attributes her success to a constant desire to learn, driven by curiosity and a willingness to research deeply to uncover the 'why' at a granular level before sharing insights with others. Her educational background includes an associate degree in diagnostic sonography and cardiovascular technology, a Bachelor's of Health Management from the University of Phoenix completed in 2025, and ongoing pursuit of an MBA at the same university. She is a member of HFMA, the Healthcare Finance Management Association, NAHAM, and the National Society for Leadership Success.

Ten minutes with Kiarra

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think my success comes from just always wanting to learn. I'm always curious about something, and I'm really always willing to research, go deeper, ask more questions. The way that my mind works, I always have to get the why down to a granular level. When I can understand it that deeply, then I can share it with the next person.
