About Kieshia
My career path was shaped by my college degree and undergraduate studies in sociology. I embarked on finding careers where I could assist the community with social work, accessing social needs, and mental health services. This led me to start careers dealing with clients needing intellectual disability services, and then working with adults who needed mental health and HMR services through adult mental health programs. I've had a lot of life changes happen, and sadly, I had to leave my most current position. I've switched my career path temporarily until I'm able to study more to pursue getting my licensed professional counseling degree. Right now, I've decided to currently pursue licensing in insurance sales and work my way up to management. I still have all the background and field training for the field that I am more advanced in, but life changes happen, so I've had to take a detour to venture out on new career opportunities to see if it is a good fit. If it's not, then I always have my mental health background and career that I've dealt with for the past 12 years that I can always refer back to.
