About Kim
Kim Kaufmann serves as Operations Manager for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 66. She accepted the role seven months ago after retiring from Centerpoint Energy, where she had advanced through the ranks over a long career, most recently as director of customer service overseeing 500 employees and a $28 million budget. In her current position, she focuses on building efficient systems, developing people, and serving the local's 5,000 members with excellence. Her responsibilities include strategic planning, resolving labor relations issues and grievances, overseeing administrative staff, improving processes such as payroll and accounting systems, and meeting with executives at partner utilities. Prior to her director role, she managed corporate claims and led a turnaround of the third-party recovery team, increasing collections by 40 percent in one year by earning trust, implementing agreed processes, and setting achievable goals that transformed a broken team into a high-performing unit.
