Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kim

01What do you attribute your success to?

I had great mentors my whole life. I had some of the best regionals out there. I remain friends with to this day. The company that I'm at now, Concordia, this is one of the best management companies I've ever worked for. From day one, the support, the camaraderie, the way they treat their employees, they genuinely care.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

For property management, to me, it's one task at a time. Prioritize the most important task. You have 10 things going on, but you can only do one task at a time.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To any young woman entering Property Management, you must build strong boundaries, match your communication and treat the role as a serious business.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Biggest challenges in Property Management now I would say the rising costs inflation building maintenance materials, vendors, staffing shortages.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Flexibility. Connections with people, connections with my co-workers. Also purpose to help others.
