Kimberley Absil

Kimberley Absil is a seasoned supply chain and operations professional with over 20 years of experience in demand planning, logistics, project management, inventory management, and process improvement. She graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in transportation and logistics and began her career at Sears corporate headquarters before entering a logistics management training program that took her to Florida. There she gained experience in inventory management, shift work, and managing teams, eventually overseeing a warehouse for home delivery of appliances and later another warehouse in the Northeast. For the past 12 years or so she has focused on support roles in project management and continuous improvement. She spent time at Walgreens in transformation and improvement initiatives, followed by about 4 years in demand and supply planning at Abbott, where she was selected to lead the onboarding of a third-party company to boost production of the COVID-19 test. She then joined Essendant as a Senior Demand Manager for about 2 years before being promoted to Senior Project Manager, a role she has held for about a year. In her current position she supports the inventory directors and VP of inventory, working cross-functionally with departments such as IT, merchandising, and category management to understand processes, identify gaps, and implement corrections. She has expertise in Lean/Six Sigma principles through her continuous improvement work, demand and supply planning, logistics, operational efficiency, and strategic project management.
