About Kimberley
Kimberley has spent the past two years in the transportation industry, operating Blue Lock Services to deliver business-to-business commute solutions that help companies boost employee morale, retention, and reduce turnover. Drawing from her prior experience in HR, she recognized the need for reliable transportation options that allow workers to maintain stable employment while supporting their families. Her educational background includes an associate's degree in positive human development and social change, a bachelor's degree in psychology, and a master's degree in positive psychology, all from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. These studies inform her humanistic approach to building rapport and addressing barriers faced by individuals. Beyond her core business, Kimberley is actively involved in reentry support through her organization, Second Chance Reentry Consulting, which provides wraparound services, and she participates in initiatives like the Shalon Project at Life University and GCHAP to reduce recidivism by offering educational opportunities. She has also collaborated with institutions such as Georgia State and Oxford University.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kimberley
01What do you attribute your success to?
Never second-guess myself. Being a female in this field, I'm always wondering if I'm doing the right thing or making the right decision. My HR supervisor always told me to remember never to second-guess myself, because God will place you where you need to be and He'll handle the rest.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never second-guess myself. Being a female in this field, I'm always wondering if I'm doing the right thing or making the right decision. My HR supervisor always told me to remember never to second-guess myself, because God will place you where you need to be and He'll handle the rest.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never stop learning. When you get to the point where you feel like you know everything, that's when you start diminishing the possibilities of you growing into becoming the best version of yourself.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Most businesses know that they need it but they just don't know how to implement it into their company's framework. It's a challenge but a beautiful one because it allows me to get with them on a personal level and hear their needs.
