About Kimberly

I've been in the human resources field for 15 years, and my journey has been incredibly rewarding. It all started when I was working at Strayer University, where I was able to obtain my master's degree in human resource management. Although I wasn't in an HR role at the time, I was a people manager, which allowed me to use the skills I learned in the program. From there, I joined True Information Assurance, initially focusing on training and development where I led the Cyber Academy program. When I realized this small boutique firm didn't have an HR department and we were approaching 50 employees, I approached the CEO and asked if I could start the HR department. Being able to lay that foundational work and start the department from the ground up was truly one of the most rewarding experiences I've had thus far in my career - I was able to shape and mold it and leave essentially my little fingerprint on the organization. I then moved into a recruiting role at Ashby Ponds, which is an Erickson Living senior living community, where I led a small team of recruiters. That allowed me to tap into a different skill set, thinking of creative ways to find talent, and it was rewarding to staff a place that's pretty much doing God's work, helping those that are not able to help themselves later on in life. Now I'm with Insperity, which is a professional employer organization, and it's a full circle moment for me because when I worked for True Information Assurance, we were an Insperity client. I'm now servicing my book of business with several different clients, helping them with their HR needs as many of them are an HR of 1 or 2. I'm able to be an extension of their departments, helping with everything from foundational work like handbooks to more challenging things like employee relations issues.
