What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would give the below advice; • Confidence is currency. Don’t wait to be invited to the table—pull up your own chair. • Speak up in meetings, ask questions, and share ideas. Your voice matters. • Hospitality thrives on connection. Cultivate genuine relationships with colleagues, mentors, and clients. • The best opportunities often come from people who trust you, not just know you. • Don’t silo yourself. Spend time in operations, front desk, housekeeping, F&B—even if your goal is sales or marketing. • Understanding the full guest journey makes you a stronger strategist and leader. • Stay ahead of digital tools, booking platforms, and marketing trends. The industry is evolving fast. • Know what’s shaping traveler behavior—social media, sustainability, personalization—and use it to your advantage. • And when you’re in a position to lift others, especially women—do it boldly. • Hospitality can be demanding. Learn to prioritize, delegate, and protect your energy. • Authenticity is magnetic in this industry.
