About Kimberly
Kimberly Mailey serves as Senior Vice President of Talent Management at a behavioral health agency in Chicago, Illinois. She has held this role for seven and a half years and brings 31 years of experience in the field. Mailey began her career fresh out of undergrad as a house manager at the agency and progressed through every position up to her current leadership role, with the exception of chief or CEO. In her position, she oversees hiring, employee relations and engagement, compliance, and works to reimagine HR as a collaborative effort rather than a punitive one. She emphasizes mentoring staff at all levels and focuses on strategies to improve by 1% daily while prioritizing employee well-being. Mailey earned her undergraduate degree in fashion merchandise and marketing from Western University, a master's degree in rehab counseling from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and is defending her PhD in cultural humility at Capella University. She also holds certifications in drug addiction counseling and counseling. She was nominated for the Crane HR award and volunteers with the YMCA of Chicago as well as a church-based evangelistic outreach ministry.
