Her Story
About Kimberly
I've been an entrepreneur and in leadership roles for 30 years - it's always been something that is my calling in life. I take after my mom in that way. I was a young mom myself, and so I didn't have formal education, but I've taken a lot of schooling and certificates, and kind of pursued my passion and my calling through leadership opportunities at church, with the Girl Scouts, and just developed that as I went. I've always been passionate about leadership development. I'm a person that mobilizes people - one of the people that helps with recruitment and growth and development and bringing people along. I had my own coaching business that I started in 2015, and I still do that on the side a little bit. Now, I own Squeaky Clean NEO, a residential and small office cleaning company that I co-own with my daughter Kayla. We're a woman-owned business, and we're very passionate about helping other people, mostly women, find a place where they can develop their own skills and take care of their own families. These are people who tend to have been not on the traditional career path. We help coach and develop and lead and mentor people along the way. That's really my main focus right now - getting that company off the ground. That's what I consider to be a legacy in the making. My primary responsibilities include strategy, marketing, sales, networking, strategic partners, and all the operational behind-the-scenes things like finances, compliance, documentation, and taxes. My daughter runs the front office. I was recently accepted into the 10,000 Small Businesses Goldman Sachs program. Our hope is to really franchise and grow very big with our company, and that it will help take future generations forward.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Keep an open mind. Be ready, be prepared for opportunities. Be the best person you can be in whatever it is you're doing, and keep your eyes open, because opportunities are all around you. You just have to see things differently. Our perspective matters a lot. Try to see things from a different perspective, and that little switch can make a big difference.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The challenges and the opportunities are the same exact thing. The challenge is to find good people, and the opportunity is to work with really great women and good people. Finding team members that make our family proud, and uphold our brand, and share our values, and do good work are like finding diamonds in the rough. But on the flip side, we do have some really good people that work for Squeaky Clean NEO. Partnering with them and growing our business alongside of them is a huge delight for us. Our hope is to really franchise, and our hope is to grow very big with our company, and that it will help take future generations forward.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, respect, and trust are most important to me. I like to be the kind of person that you can count on. My faith is huge in my life, but when I look at character, I'm looking at people who do what they say, and say what they do, and they're trustworthy and reliable. Strong communication is one of my gifts as well, and I value it highly.
