Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kimberly
01What do you attribute your success to?
First thing is being a teen mom. I became a mom at a young age. Knowing that he was watching me, I couldn't quit. I had to become somebody better. Also seeing my mom work hard. After her and my dad divorced, she took care of 3 kids, and she worked day and night to provide for me and my siblings. Also coming from a business background, because there were so many entrepreneurs in the family. Some gave up, and I'm like, I can't give up. I have to be the first millionaire. Actually, my uncle was the first millionaire, but I'm like, I have to be the first girl millionaire in the family.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise them to never say that you can't do something unless you try it. You put your best foot forward, and you gotta try. You never know what you can do unless you try it, and never let anybody tell you what you can't do and your limitations. Because if God gives you a gift, you use every gift that God gave you. And this is what I'm doing, every gift God gave me, from my voice, my hands, my mind, I do it.
