Throughout her career, she has held influential roles with prestigious organizations, including the Government Accountability Office, the Federal Reserve Board, Capital One, Amtrak, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), and various federal agencies and consulting firms. Her expertise spans financial analysis, enterprise risk management, internal controls, fraud prevention, and government oversight, enabling organizations to strengthen accountability, improve operational efficiency, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Currently serving as an Independent Consultant, Kimberly partners with organizations such as the U.S. Department of Transportation, Deloitte & Touche, AccountingBot, and Graduate School USA as a Senior Tax Advisor, Senior Accountant, and Audit & Financial Instructor. Communication, integrity, building trust, being engaged, teamwork where needed but also independence, valuing other people's ideas to be innovative, and continuous learning.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice is to listen first and take mental notes. Listen and learn so that when you are in the room you have the knowledge base to voice your opinion without being repetitive.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Build resiliency and grow thick skin. Answer in a pleasant voice in a professional manner, back your answer with facts, stay calm and collected, and deliver your opinion professionally.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The industry is still not equitable for women in leadership roles but it is changing with more women moving up and opportunities arising from attrition in male-dominated roles.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Communication, integrity, building trust, valuing others' ideas, independence, and continuous improvement through lifelong learning like pursuing an Executive MBA.
