About Kimberly
I've been working in tech support for about 10 years, and I currently work for Southerland Global supporting Disney and Hulu. As a tier rep, I handle phone-based tech support, doing a lot of troubleshooting every day - mainly IP addresses and helping customers with their subscriptions. I also mentor the newcomers that we hire, the new trainees, and show them what to do. My background in office work spans over 20 years. I started out as an administrative assistant and went to school for medical administrative assistant. I've always loved computers, and about 6 years ago I got into remote working from home, and I've been in it ever since. Throughout my career, I've had great mentors who taught me valuable skills. One is a business owner who owns an HVAC company - he taught me how to do accounting, really got me into numbers, and also taught me how to invest and work on things around my home. I also have a friend who owns her own hair salon and a daycare, and from the business aspect, I learned a lot from her about how to run a business day-to-day - handling HR, payroll, scheduling, things of that nature. I've always moved up quickly in any job I get - whether it's been as a manager, general manager, or assistant manager. I learn fast and move fast. Eventually, my goal is to run a trucking company for my young daughter who is currently in college. She wants to own her own company with her husband, and until she's ready to run it, I'm going to run it for her. I'm currently just enrolled for school coming up so I can finish completing the business side of it, and I'll take the knowledge that I have and run her business until she's ready to take over. I also help my other daughter who does hair and has a branded business as well.
