About Kimberly

Kimberly Shine is a fitness, wellness, and campus recreation professional with extensive experience in fitness programming, facility operations, employee development, and student engagement. She currently serves as Manager of Campus Recreation at Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri, where she oversees the daily operations of the Campus Recreation Department and university fitness center. Her responsibilities include managing budgets, supervising and mentoring staff, developing operational policies, coordinating wellness programs, and ensuring compliance with safety and risk-management standards.

In her role at Logan University, Shine has led significant initiatives designed to enhance the campus recreation experience. She directed the complete renovation of the university fitness center, overseeing facility redesign, space optimization, equipment selection, procurement, and installation to create a more functional and welcoming environment. She has also coordinated large-scale athletic events, including a multi-sport tournament for chiropractic universities that hosted more than 300 student-athletes, while collaborating with university leadership and campus departments to promote student wellness, engagement, leadership, and community.

Shine holds a Master of Business Administration from Cleary University and a Master of Health Science with a Health and Wellness specialization from Lindenwood University. Earlier in her career, she gained corporate fitness experience as a Fitness Specialist Intern with Anheuser-Busch InBev, where she supported fitness centers, personalized exercise programming, membership services, and employee wellness initiatives. Her professional background also includes administrative and community-focused work with Thornton Township. Through her combination of fitness expertise, wellness education, operational leadership, and commitment to creating inclusive environments, Shine continues to contribute to healthier and more engaged communities.
