Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kimberly
01What do you attribute your success to?
My boys. I am a first-generation high school or college graduate, and so I wanted to show my boys that anything is possible, and if they put their minds to it, they can do it.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be a toolbox and not a mechanic. Because I have such a passion for helping others, and I was overdoing it myself... depriving them from the opportunity of learning and developing their own skills.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. And get a mentor. Having someone that you can truly respect and take advice from to help you look through those blind spots is priceless. Listen to the feedback and keep going.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Pressure within operations of making sure every patient gets in with limited spaces, becoming more strategic. As a woman leader, making your voice heard can be challenging, but practicing with confidence helps.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My family, God, and integrity is huge in my world, and loyalty. I truly believe in servant leadership and supporting each other.
