About Kimia
Kimia Haghighat is a strategic marketer and entrepreneur specializing in brand strategy, commercialization, and growth marketing. With more than six years of experience across entertainment, consumer products, healthcare, finance, and skincare, she has managed global portfolios exceeding $200 million and led initiatives that drive brand growth, market expansion, and cultural relevance. She currently serves as Marketing Manager at OC MedDerm/Irvineskin, where she leads growth and go-to-market initiatives for a dermatology and skincare business.
Kimia is also pursuing her entrepreneurial vision through the development of Lamistra Skin, a skincare line she is building with her mother, a dermatologist, and a French formulation team. Combining her expertise in marketing with her family’s medical background, she is focused on bringing clinically grounded, premium skincare products to market and ultimately creating products that can positively impact people’s lives. Her previous experience includes marketing and brand strategy at Mattel, growth marketing at Bev, and finance and marketing roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment and CBS Television Distribution.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Kimia is passionate about giving back and supporting women in their journey toward greater independence and opportunity. She previously volunteered with the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles, where she supported women through resume workshops, interview preparation, and other resources designed to help them rebuild their lives. Guided by the perseverance instilled by her father and inspired by generations of strong immigrant women in her family, Kimia approaches her work and personal life with integrity, compassion, determination, and a commitment to turning ambitious ideas into meaningful impact.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my father, who taught me never to give up, and to the strength of the powerful immigrant women in my family. My mother, a doctor, has also been an important source of inspiration, resilience, and determination.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to put a smile on someone else’s face every day. Small acts of kindness and positivity can make a meaningful difference in both professional and personal relationships.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to advocate for yourself, recognize and trust your capabilities, and be proud of your accomplishments. At the same time, create space for others to grow alongside you and support their success.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are integrity and compassion. I strive to lead with honesty, treat others with kindness and respect, and make decisions that reflect strong principles in both my work and personal life.
