Kimiko Donahue is an accomplished speaker, entrepreneur, coach, and insurance professional with two decades of experience in sales, marketing, business development, and leadership. An insurance professional since 2009, she has built a reputation for exceptional relationship-building, innovative marketing, and the ability to develop high-performing teams. Her entrepreneurial background includes founding multiple ventures and co-founding businesses, reflecting her adaptability, resilience, and commitment to creating innovative solutions across competitive markets.
Today, Kimiko combines her extensive business and insurance experience with coaching, training, and professional development. As the founder of Press Play Ventures, she works with high-performing professionals and visionary entrepreneurs to overcome limiting patterns, strengthen confidence, and achieve greater clarity and alignment. She uses tools including neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), Mental and Emotional Release®, and customized language-rewiring techniques to support personal and professional transformation. Her areas of expertise include sales management, marketing, organizational culture, executive coaching, leadership development, public speaking, and training.
Kimiko holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Northern Arizona University and has pursued additional education and certifications in real estate, hypnotherapy, NLP, and transformational leadership. She is also a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and brings her communication expertise to the stage as a lead vocalist for Iron Priestess, a tribute band honoring Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Her diverse professional and creative experiences have strengthened the confidence, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities that define her approach to leadership and coaching.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to taking massive action, embracing new opportunities, and being willing to pivot quickly when needed. When I find something I truly enjoy, I commit fully and give it my best. My mom taught me from an early age to be open to trying new things, and that mindset has played a major role in my growth and success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received was to focus first on who I want to be, rather than what I want to do or have. A mentor helped me understand that success starts with character. By embodying the qualities and values I aspire to have, I can create the foundation for achieving my goals.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is simple: never underestimate yourself. There will always be people who doubt your abilities, so don’t add to that doubt. Believe in your strengths, trust your potential, and have the confidence to pursue opportunities boldly.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are creativity, family, community, and giving back. I’m a mom, a musician, and someone who loves creative pursuits and an adventurous lifestyle. I also value supporting causes that make a difference, such as organizations that train shelter dogs as service animals for veterans. These experiences remind me of the importance of compassion, connection, and contributing to my community.
