Kina Sweet-Gilbert, EdD,MBA

Kina Sweet-Gilbert, EdD, MBA is an accomplished educator and leader in business, education, and social services, with over 15 years of experience teaching both online and in-person across a variety of subjects. Currently serving as Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator at Louisiana State University at Eunice, she combines her expertise in curriculum development, academic advising, and team leadership to drive student success and program excellence. Known for her ability to inspire and motivate, Kina has created mentorship programs, enhanced health sciences curricula, and consistently surpassed student retention and enrollment goals, reflecting her commitment to fostering educational achievement. Kina earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University, as well as an MBA. She has held faculty and leadership roles at Purdue University Global, University of New Orleans, Kaplan University, and Unitech Training Academy, building a strong foundation in program management, instructional design, and team development. As an active member of Women in Energy and other professional organizations, she is dedicated to supporting colleagues and students through mentorship, guidance, and the sharing of best practices. Throughout her career, Kina has been recognized for her outstanding leadership, professionalism, and ability to balance operational oversight with personal investment in her teams and students. Her leadership philosophy centers on treating students, faculty, and staff as family, encouraging each individual to give their best while cultivating their full potential.
