Her Story

About Kinga

Kinga Gecsey, MBA, is a holistic health practitioner, energy practitioner, author, speaker, and entrepreneur based in Pomona, California. She is the founder of Freedom Bear, an independent wellness practice dedicated to helping individuals achieve emotional freedom, improved health, and lasting personal transformation. Since entering the field in 2015, Gecsey has continually refined her practice, shifting her focus in 2022 to body image and weight management before specializing in supporting women who are rebuilding their lives after unhealthy relationships while balancing the responsibilities of parenthood. Through her signature approach, Rock Your Body Into Freedom, she empowers clients to overcome emotional barriers, decode unhealthy cravings, and create healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Gecsey's expertise is supported by a strong academic and professional foundation. She earned a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in hospitality management and international business in 2012 and completed her holistic health coaching certification in 2017. She has also earned numerous professional credentials, including certifications as an NLP Master Practitioner, Timeline Therapist, Peace Process Master, Instant Miracle Practitioner, Akadua Levels 1 through 3 practitioner, Reiki practitioner, autism specialist, and mediumship practitioner. Beyond her coaching practice, she is a published collaborative author whose books have achieved international bestseller status on Amazon, and she is currently writing her first solo book focused on breaking the generational cycle of food addiction. She also serves as a leader and speaker within Toastmasters International, reflecting her commitment to communication, leadership, and personal development.

Gecsey attributes her success to her own journey of resilience and transformation. Having overcome childhood criticism and bullying, she learned to turn adversity into motivation for continual growth, an experience that now shapes the compassionate support she provides to her clients. She was inspired by mentors who encouraged her to share her story through public speaking and writing, believing her experiences could empower others facing similar challenges. Guided by the values of trust, authenticity, and compassion, Gecsey encourages young women entering the wellness industry to be patient, embrace continuous learning, and master one skill at a time. She believes one of the greatest opportunities in her field is helping women overcome self-doubt, recognize their own potential, and gain the confidence to create healthier, more empowered lives for themselves and their families.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kinga

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my own journey of resilience and personal growth. As a child, I was often criticized for my weight and faced constant bullying, but instead of allowing those experiences to define me, I used them as motivation to become stronger and continually improve myself. Every challenge taught me the value of perseverance, self-reflection, and determination. Those experiences shaped who I am today and continue to inspire me to help others recognize their own strength and potential.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the best pieces of career advice I've ever received was that I should be speaking on stage and sharing my experiences with others. Another person encouraged me to write my story, reminding me that my journey could inspire and help people facing similar challenges. That advice gave me the confidence to embrace my voice, share my message, and use my personal experiences to make a meaningful impact.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to be patient and not rush the process. Take your career one step at a time, focusing on learning and mastering one skill before moving on to the next. You don't have to know everything at the beginning. Building confidence and expertise comes through consistent learning, experience, and a willingness to grow over time.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is helping people, especially women, believe in themselves and recognize their own potential. Too often, self-doubt holds talented individuals back from pursuing opportunities or taking the next step in their personal and professional growth. One of the greatest opportunities is empowering women to build confidence, trust their abilities, and realize they are capable of achieving success on their own.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The value that is most important to me in both my work and personal life is trust. I believe trust is the foundation of every meaningful relationship, whether with clients, colleagues, family, or friends. Building and maintaining trust through honesty, reliability, and authenticity creates stronger connections and allows people to work together with confidence and respect.
