A graduate of Kaplan University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Kiona blends her technical knowledge with a solid foundation in business principles, enhancing her ability to manage projects, streamline processes, and contribute strategically to her team. At CN, she played a key role in machining, assembly, inspection, and fabrication of locomotive components, demonstrating her proficiency with a wide range of machine tools, blueprints, and industry standards. I attribute much of my success to the guidance, support, and values instilled in me by my father.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to always keep an open mind and continually push myself beyond my comfort zone.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is navigating a male-dominated environment, which also presents an opportunity to bring diverse perspectives, drive meaningful change, and demonstrate leadership in breaking traditional barriers.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are family, honesty, and open communication.
