Her Story

About Klaudia

Klaudia Holland serves as an IT project management professional in Nashville, Tennessee, where she focuses on SAP system deployments and upgrades across more than 100 sites in North America. She transitioned into this role after beginning her career in supply chain management, holding a bachelor's degree in the field from Michigan State University, which she completed in 2018. Holland also earned her Six Sigma Yellow Belt in 2021 and is completing an MBA in general business, expected in May. She draws on her supply chain expertise to improve business efficiency through technology implementations. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Holland volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters by organizing events and fundraising, supports Treehouse in Wichita, Kansas, to assist single mothers, and contributes to local food banks in both Nashville and Wichita. She attributes her career success to the strong work ethic and discipline instilled by her parents from a young age, which included early employment with a work permit. Holland advises young women entering the industry to remain open to unexpected opportunities, as she herself moved from supply chain into IT project management, and emphasizes asking questions, listening actively, and avoiding taking professional feedback personally.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Klaudia

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my parents who instilled a strong work ethic in me from a very young age. Both my parents worked hard, and I had my first job at a young age with a work permit. They taught me discipline, putting in time and effort, and not giving up easily. I do all the small things and research thoroughly. Even though my parents are not in business (one in science/biology, one a lawyer), their values shaped my determination and drive.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the best pieces of advice is to try not to take things so personally, which is easier said than done especially for someone who likes to keep the peace. Another is to always ask questions and be a good listener rather than telling people what to do. People want you to listen and feel their thoughts matter, which is especially important when transitioning from corporate to plant environments.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My biggest advice is to be open to opportunities because you never know where your career is going to take you. Don't feel like you have to have everything figured out as it's hard to predict the future. Be open to learning and never be afraid to ask hard questions. I started in supply chain and never thought I'd be working in IT.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges is having the right talent available and staying up to date with constantly changing technology, especially with AI. Staying current on trends and keeping pace with changes is difficult. For example, on an SAP deployment upgrading systems across over 100 sites in North America, by the time we finish there will already be something new.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being honest and taking accountability is a big value because everything eventually comes to light. Being respectful and kind is important since you never know what's going on in someone's life. Safety, integrity, and being kind and respectful of your team are also key.
