Her Story
About Kneeshe
I am a world-renowned motivational speaker with about 20 years in the field. I became a certified life coach, trainer, and facilitator in the early 90s through 2000, which gave me the opportunity to be coached and mentored by phenomenal women around the world who led the charge in social determinants of health and risk factors for Black women through national cohorts. My main area of expertise is working with Black women on sexual health practices, sexual health body autonomy, and my passion for love and relationship building. I work with women living with HIV and women not living with HIV, making sure that their sexual health is the catalyst of success so they can advance and leverage dialogue when meeting with their partners. I am a recent graduate with my Master's in Health Administration, and I want to pivot to making sure individuals have knowledge base as far as their work line, aligning with stakeholders and capacity building on a state, local, national, and international level. Over the past three decades, I've catalyzed individuals in the areas of health, education, and emotional well-being, implementing programs for positive influence and underlying social determinants of health, with key factors for young women. I've spearheaded quality improvement efforts and eradicated the impact on women who are pregnant, women living with HIV, and addressed reproductive oppression and body autonomy for communities. One of my most notable achievements is being a world-renowned motivational speaker and being able to leverage rooms through women who've had domestic violence, providing content expert information and underlining health disparities for individuals or women who may have that trajectory or imbalance of impact, while bringing positive impact to those around me. I stood on the stage of the National Ryan White Conference in Washington, D.C. back in 2018 and edified a room of 4,500 participants from all across the world. I continue to help and educate others by pulling my adversities and situations and my social determinants of health in the storytelling pieces so that individuals can understand that they can thrive. Their story may not look like mine, but it may feel or walk like some of the scenarios that I've had, and we all grow together in some shape, form, or fashion.

Ten minutes with Kneeshe
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my parents and God. Being a single mom, most often some women have to be in survivor mode when the dad is absent, and I knew I wanted to afford my daughter the best outcomes in life so that she can see the influence that I provided her from birth to adulthood. I believe that I've done a great job with being the core pillar of her life and championing her wholeheartedly. My father did a lot of championing and hand-holding when he was living. My mother worked countless hours on a job to make sure that we had proper food and necessities on the table. When the road got thick, we didn't feel it. My parents felt it, I'm sure, because that's how it happens with me - when things get thick, bills get tight, money get tight, you want to be able to go to these different trips with families and friends, and sometimes you have to re-examine your finances. I made sure that my daughter didn't feel, and doesn't feel those things that us parents have to handle so that they can have the necessities that they need. Putting my daughter through 5 years of college was rewarding, not only for me, but it was rewarding for her, too, as well.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice that I've always received came from my father, who passed away on August 23rd of 2024. My dad always said, if you never document the things that you do, it's just like you've never done them.
