About Kornelia
Kornelia Deneau is a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist and Sleep Coach based in Maryville, Illinois. With 27 years in the field of sleep medicine, she began her career seeking a nighttime position while her children were young and received on-the-job training after attending Baker College in Port Huron, Michigan. She became registered through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) in 2002 and has since worked across multiple areas of sleep medicine, including managing a sleep lab as clinical director for 10 years, training technologists, and scoring sleep studies. For the past 9 years, Deneau has been with HSHS facility, where she also serves as a sleep coach on the Better Up Platform for over 3 years, helping clients improve their sleep quality. She is a member of the American Association of Sleep Technology and received an honorable mention for top sleep lab manager in the U.S. as well as publication in a magazine. Her professional focus remains on sleep disorders and patient education, guided by her belief that tomorrow starts with tonight's better sleep.
