Her Story

About Krista

Krista Richman is a highly accomplished real estate executive and development sales leader with more than a decade of experience in South Florida’s luxury real estate market. Currently serving as Vice President of Sales for Aria Reserve Miami, she sells one of Miami’s most significant waterfront developments—a two-tower, 5-acre project with a projected $1.7 billion sellout in the Edgewater neighborhood. Richman’s career began after earning a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Miami, where her passion for architecture, construction, and design laid the foundation for her future success in real estate development sales. After graduating just before the economic recession, Richman transitioned into real estate, obtaining her real estate and broker licenses and establishing herself in the luxury development sector. Her career includes key roles with Cervera Real Estate, where she advanced from Sales Associate to Assistant Sales Manager and ultimately Sales Director for The Ocean Resort Residences at Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach. Throughout her career, she has earned numerous accolades, including New Manager of the Year, multiple Top Producer awards, recognition in South Florida Agent Magazine’s “Who’s Who in Miami Real Estate,” and inclusion in the Master Brokers Forum and the Miami Association of Realtors’ prestigious “20 Under 40” list. She has also been recognized among Miami’s leading real estate professionals by Brickell Magazine and as an Influential Women honoree. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Richman is deeply committed to mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement. She served on the Young Professionals Network Board of the Miami Association of Realtors, where she helped support the next generation of industry leaders. She also dedicated nearly a decade to the Miss America Organization as Executive Director of the Miss Miami Scholarship Program, raising funds and creating educational opportunities for young women pursuing higher education. Known for her tenacity, market expertise, and collaborative leadership style, Richman has built a reputation for guiding clients and sales teams through complex transactions while delivering exceptional results in some of South Florida’s most prominent residential developments.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Krista

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a strong work ethic, the guidance of an exceptional mentor who taught me development sales and demonstrated relentless tenacity, and my willingness to seize opportunities in a rapidly growing market. By combining dedication, continuous learning, and a proactive approach to new opportunities, I have been able to build meaningful professional growth and achieve lasting success.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay persistent and not give up when faced with early challenges. Breaking into the field can be difficult, so focus on getting in front of the right people, seeking opportunities to learn, and gaining as much experience as possible. If you're interested in development sales, be proactive about interviewing, building relationships, and finding a mentor who can provide guidance and help accelerate your growth.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in a real estate career is that we can't control the market. Successful Realtors learn to adapt to changing market conditions and navigate the ups and downs with resilience and strategy. Slower periods are the perfect opportunity to invest in yourself—learn new technology, sharpen your marketing skills, build your network, and expand your market knowledge. By using that time wisely, you'll be well prepared to hit the ground running when the market picks up again.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are mentorship, hard work, and giving back. I credit much of my success to the guidance of mentors throughout my life, and I believe in paying that forward by helping others grow and succeed in their careers. My number one priority is my little man, my son. I do it all for him!
