Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kristen
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute much of my success to the people I have worked with and encountered, particularly the Thai women I work alongside. Their resilience and the trust they have placed in me are deeply motivating. I also attribute my success to the support of my husband, whose financial stability and encouragement have given me the time and freedom to pursue this work.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I have learned that leadership is not simply about advocating for or managing an organization. It also means asking difficult questions, being willing to become uncomfortable, and challenging the status quo. Effective leadership includes many important responsibilities beyond functional tasks such as leading meetings or managing employees.
