Kristen E. Mosuch is a seasoned industrial security professional with over 18 years of experience in security management, compliance, and employee safety. Currently serving as Senior Manager and Corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO) at Accenture Federal Services, Kristen is recognized for her meticulous attention to detail, strong follow-through, and ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure environments. Throughout her career, she has provided leadership across multiple security genres, developing and implementing strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Before joining Accenture, Kristen held key security leadership roles at organizations including Fibertek Inc., Maximus, Unisys, and Millennium Corporation. She has extensive experience managing SAP/SCI programs, Insider Threat programs, emergency response planning, and compliance with standards such as CMMC and NIST-800 171. Known for her collaborative approach, Kristen works closely with executive teams, cross-functional departments, and government stakeholders to ensure secure and compliant operations across all organizational levels.
Kristen is also committed to mentorship and professional development within the security community, serving as a mentor for the Society of Industrial Security Professionals. She holds a Master’s in Applied Intelligence from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Security Management from DeVry University. My advice to young women entering this industry is to show up, continuously educate yourself, advocate for your ideas, and never be afraid to use your voice.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is navigating and advancing in a male-dominated industry while proving your capabilities and leadership.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in my work and personal life are balance, joy, and curiosity—whether that’s pursuing my passions like sailing, theatre, sports, cooking, or spending quality time with my puppy.
