Kristen Nielsen is a seasoned designer and sales manager with more than 13 years of experience in landscaping design, management, and outdoor living solutions. A graduate of Suffolk University, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts, Kristen combines artistic vision with practical design expertise to craft spaces that are both beautiful and functional.

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to growing up in and learning from a family business, which taught me the value of hard work, dedication, and hands-on experience.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was to teach myself how to take architectural structures and expand them into 2D or 3D designs, whether that’s an outdoor kitchen or a complete backyard setup with a pool.

One of the biggest challenges in my field is managing the seasonal nature of the business, balancing the intense work periods with family life and personal responsibilities.

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are putting my family—especially my kids—first, cherishing time with friends, and ensuring my clients are always satisfied with my work.
