Her Story

About Kristen

I’ve been in logistics for roughly 25–30 years and started my own company in 2014. Earlier in my career, I worked for a logistics company scheduling the transport of motion pictures across the southern United States. When the industry transitioned to digital, that line of work declined, which opened the door for me to pursue something I had always wanted—owning my own business.

I launched the company out of the back of a Ford Expedition, handling deliveries myself. Today, we operate with independent contractors and run between 13 and 20 routes daily, depending on demand. Along the way, we’ve also created opportunities for other small business owners in our area to grow alongside us.

We’ve scaled from zero customers to a seven-figure business, primarily focusing on B2B logistics. Much of our work involves route deliveries for the automotive parts and tire industry, supporting wholesale distribution and helping businesses meet their customers’ needs efficiently.

As the owner, my role is to establish strong processes, ensure the right people are in place, and support the team so they can perform at their best. At the same time, I stay focused on the bigger picture—continuing to develop both myself and the business to sustain long-term growth.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kristen

01What do you attribute your success to?

When we partner with a business, we view ourselves as an extension of their team—because their success directly drives ours.

We’re committed to transparency with both our customers and our independent contractors. We recognize that without their trust and collaboration, our business wouldn’t exist.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I had someone tell me not every person is my customer. To find the customer's that value our service for more than just an inexpensive price.

This has driven me to understand quality over quantity.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My biggest advice is to surround yourself with people who are already doing what you aspire to do. Get involved in networking events, join organizations, and become active in those groups—because that’s where most of my mentorship has come from. It’s also where I’ve gained the knowledge that helped us grow into what we are today.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

We have a difficult time finding drivers who want consistent work.

Insurance is a big struggle as we see increases every year whether claims have been filed or not.

Sales is tougher as we use to could walk up to the business and speak to the decision maker, that is not the case anymore.

Getting that contact information can be a struggle.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My values are simple treat others as you would want to be treated. I believe that it comes back to you.
