Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my family, friends and colleagues who have been supportive of my journey to the career that I now have. They were always cheering me on as I made new strides in my academics and pushing me to become the woman I am today.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice that I received came from my father who told me that it is never too late to start something new and switch gears. After 10 years in healthcare, making the change to manufacturing was daunting, but his advice spurred me into motion and pushed me to this career path that I am fortunate to be on today.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The best advice I would give to women entering the manufacturing industry is to not be intimidated by the lack of female presence. Manufacturing is still a mainly male dominated industry, but that does not mean a woman cannot do the job just as well. We have a place at the table if we only make the choice to sit.
