About Kristi
Kristi FosterBoyd has been working in the field of education since 2021. She initially served as a physical education teacher before transitioning into her current role as a job coach, a position she embraced after moving to a district without physical education openings at the time. In this capacity, she supports students who will not receive a high school diploma by helping them obtain workability certification through job shadowing and non-paid employable hours, collaborating with a rehabilitation clinic in Spartanburg County to prepare them for future employment. She also serves as head coach for track and field. Kristi earned her bachelor's degree from South Carolina State University in 2009, where she participated in collegiate track and field, and later obtained a master's degree from Liberty University in exercise science and sports performance. Prior to entering education, she worked at BMW for approximately eight years during a period of economic recession. Her professional goals include pursuing certification in strength and conditioning and potentially returning to physical therapy studies at MUSC.
