About Kristi

Kristi Hagler serves as a sales and projects executive at Southgate Direct. She joined the company in March of this year and has spent the past six months managing strategic accounts for one of the top e-commerce businesses in the U.S. Her responsibilities include seeking out new business opportunities, sending quotes, and building connections with key contacts to strengthen the company's presence. Prior to this role, Hagler worked in sales within the construction industry for portable restrooms and in the staffing industry for production, accumulating four to five years of experience in construction-related sales before seeking a change that would allow her to work from home. She is committed to providing a unique and personable experience to every customer. Looking ahead, Hagler plans to grow with the company and become one of its future executive members as it expands in the U.S. She notes that the industry presents challenges due to strong competition, requiring her work to stand out. Hagler encourages women new to the field not to feel intimidated by what they do not know or by those with more experience, emphasizing that individuals can make their own impact without years of prior knowledge. She currently has a mentor at Southgate who has guided her in both business and life.

Ten minutes with Kristi

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

In my field, to not maybe necessarily be intimidated about things that you don't know, because there's a bunch of people within the industry willing to teach you and guide you. Don't be intimidated by people who have been in the industry a long time because you can make your own sort of impact within the industry without having years of knowledge.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

For the U.S. specifically there's a lot of great competition within this industry. Challenges... making sure that your work stands out above everyone else's really.
