Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kristian
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute much of my success to my father and her siblings, whose accomplishments have shown me what is possible through hard work, determination, and perseverance. Their example has inspired me to believe in my own abilities and to recognize that I, too, can thrive and achieve my goals.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to walk into every room with confidence, knowing that I belong there and deserve a seat at the table. I’ve learned to recognize my own value, trust my expertise, and never allow self-doubt to prevent me from contributing, leading, and taking up space in important conversations.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is simple: if a man can do it, so can you. Never allow the fact that you are entering a male-dominated space to make you question your capabilities or limit your ambitions. We are capable of achieving anything we set our minds to when we lead with confidence, determination, and perseverance. Believe in your abilities, take up space, and never be afraid to pursue opportunities that challenge you and help you grow.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I see right now is gaining opportunities in corporate spaces, particularly as women continue to face barriers and, in some environments, are being pushed out of leadership and professional opportunities. This makes it especially important for women to remain resilient, confident, and committed to their goals. I believe we must continue to persevere, support one another, and stay strong through challenging periods while remaining prepared to seize new opportunities when the tide changes.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are integrity, honesty, and doing what is right, even when it is difficult. I believe in making decisions that align with my principles and treating others with fairness and respect. I also believe strongly in standing up for others, especially when they may not have a voice or when doing so requires courage. For me, true success is not only about what I accomplish, but also about how I conduct myself and the positive impact I have on those around me.
