Her Story
About Kristin
I have been in the optical industry for nearly 30 years, starting as a licensed optician and advancing to office manager before moving into education, consulting, and marketing. I am passionate about helping independent medical practices grow, including optical, dental, aesthetics, and chiropractic practices, with a special focus on women-owned businesses. I develop personalized strategies for practices, offer continuing education courses, and contract with Roya.com on the marketing side. I have worked with 1,500 to 2,000 practices over the past 8 years in this role.

Ten minutes with Kristin
01What do you attribute your success to?
Passion. I have such a passion in helping independent practices grow that that's what wakes me up in the morning to start making phone calls every day to these practices, what helps me to develop educational courses, to help to teach them how to look at harmful light rays differently. I have just such a passion in helping the independent practices grow that it gives me passion to do what I do.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be scared to reach out and ask for help. I feel like so many times that people are just, you know, they don't even know what they should be asking, so to definitely find a mentor in it, and find a community, and not be scared to even ask people that you're starting to do business with who they should work with in other areas. So, just don't be scared to ask questions, and don't be scared to reach out for help.
