Her Story

About Kristin

Kristin Curto is a Medical Device Sales Representative at Rehab Medical, where she specializes in Complex Rehab Technology and helps individuals access mobility equipment that supports their independence and daily lives. Since joining the company in 2021, Kristin has opened and developed a new territory from the ground up, serving as a key liaison among patients, healthcare providers, clinicians, and insurance companies. Her responsibilities include educating clinicians and providers, coordinating paperwork and scheduling, conducting home wheelchair evaluations, and documenting patients’ needs to support insurance approval and equipment delivery. Her work spans relationships with internal medicine and primary care providers, neurologists, wound care specialists, home health professionals, and rehabilitation facilities throughout the Nashville area.

Kristin has built a strong record of achievement in medical device sales, earning membership in Rehab Medical’s President’s Club three consecutive years in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Before entering the medical device field, she developed extensive sales experience across the beverage, promotional, and hospitality industries. She spent nearly five years as a Sales Representative with BountyBev, a craft beer distributor, where she represented numerous established and independent breweries and earned Cicerone Beer Server certification. Earlier roles with Legacy Marketing, McEwen Cherry, and symGLASS further strengthened her skills in direct sales, business-to-business relationships, events, merchandising, and client engagement.

A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, Kristin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Apparel Merchandising with a minor from the Kelley School of Business. Although her early interests centered on fashion, her career ultimately led her toward sales and healthcare, where she has found an opportunity to combine relationship-building with meaningful service to others. Kristin takes great pride in her reputation, work ethic, and professional connections, while placing strong importance on family and the support of those closest to her. Looking ahead, she is also interested in giving back through volunteer opportunities such as Habitat for Humanity.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kristin

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to having a strong support system, especially my husband, who shares responsibilities at home and gives me the freedom to fully commit to my career. I also believe drive is essential to success—you can learn the skills of a job, but genuine determination and ambition cannot be taught.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to recognize and value the people who support your growth. My family, the VP of Sales who gave me an opportunity, and especially my husband, who continues to challenge and push me to grow, have all played an important role in my career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell my younger self to give myself more grace and more credit. Every woman brings value, and believing in your own abilities is essential to recognizing and achieving your potential.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The most rewarding opportunity in my field is improving someone’s quality of life. While the process typically takes six to eight weeks, it can take longer when patients face hospitalizations or rehabilitation stays, making consistency and adaptability essential.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family is very important to me, along with maintaining a strong reputation and work ethic. I take pride in the relationships I build, the connections I maintain, and the commitment I bring to making my work and office successful.
