About Kristin

Kristin May serves as Vice President of Construction and Development at Safe Harbor Marinas, a luxury marina company. In this role, she oversees major construction projects ranging from marina and upland development to restaurants and storage buildings. May earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, specializing in Coastal Engineering, from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia in 2003. Her career includes work as a civil engineer with the US Army Corps of Engineers, including service as Director of Public Works at a forward operating base in Kandahar, Afghanistan for a year during COVID. She is a Project Management Certified Professional and belongs to the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Project Management Institute. May advises young women entering the industry to take risks.
