What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being approachable and genuine in every interaction. I’ve built strong networking and relationship skills that have allowed me to create meaningful connections and lasting partnerships. My faith and consistency keep me grounded and focused, while my commitment to building bridges—not burning them—even with competitors, has strengthened my professional reputation. I’m also deeply grateful for the mentorship and guidance I’ve received from industry leaders like Dustan Goodell, whose influence has shaped my growth and leadership style.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received wasn’t spoken directly, but rather demonstrated through the actions and values of those I admire: be kind, be consistent, and never burn a bridge. I’ve learned that professionalism and integrity go a long way—because even your competitors may one day become your collaborators or refer you business.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to always lead with kindness and treat everyone with respect—including your competitors. Relationships are the foundation of long-term success, so make an effort to maintain them, even when things get competitive. And most importantly, don’t get caught up in chasing awards or recognition; focus on doing meaningful work that makes a genuine impact.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in our field is managing the diverse and often strong personalities that come with HOA boards. Navigating competitive bidding environments can also be complex, requiring a balance of strategy, transparency, and persistence. On the other hand, there are exciting opportunities emerging—particularly in specializing in occupied space renovations and reconstruction work for HOAs. I also see relationship-building as a powerful differentiator in business development; fostering trust and collaboration continues to open new doors and set us apart in the industry.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Faith and prayer are at the center of my life and guide every decision I make, both personally and professionally. Kindness and integrity are values I strive to uphold in all interactions, as I believe they are essential to building trust and lasting relationships. I also make it a priority to maintain positive connections—even with competitors—because mutual respect strengthens the industry as a whole. Giving back is equally important to me; I stay active in my church and various nonprofit organizations as a way to serve others and live out my values.
