Her Story
About Kristin
Kristin Salada is a leadership consultant, conference emcee, facilitator, and narrator whose career has centered on communication, teamwork, and meaningful human connection. For more than 20 years, she has led New Angle Consulting, helping organizations strengthen leadership teams, improve communication, build trust, and create more effective workplace cultures. She also operates Kristin Salada.com, where she combines conference emceeing, experiential event design, team facilitation, and non-fiction audiobook narration. Her approach focuses on creating professional experiences that actively engage people rather than simply asking them to sit and listen.
Kristin's work spans leadership development, executive off-sites, conferences, and experiential learning programs. She has facilitated and supported leaders from organizations including Microsoft, athenahealth, Dunkin’ Brands, Ferrara, and Denver Public Schools, and she serves as a lead facilitator and live announcer for the University of New Hampshire's annual Leadership Development Conference. As an emcee, Kristin brings energy, warmth, professionalism, and the ability to read a room, helping audiences remain engaged while smoothly navigating transitions and unexpected changes. She has also expanded her expertise through Personify Leadership training and professional emcee training with Emcee Directory, while continuing her work as a business and leadership audiobook narrator.
Kristin holds a BS in Communication Studies and Spanish from Northwestern University and an MSM in Organizational Communication and Training from the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business. Her early experience as an outdoor experiential guide helped shape her belief that people learn and connect most effectively through participation and shared experiences. Today, she remains passionate about designing environments where leaders and teams can build stronger relationships, communicate openly, and feel genuinely connected. Through consulting, facilitation, emceeing, and narration, Kristin brings together strategic thinking, storytelling, and human-centered communication to help organizations create experiences that draw people in and bring them together.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to stay open to change and new opportunities. My career journey has shown me that unexpected experiences can reveal new strengths, interests, and valuable lessons.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is not to feel pressured to have everything figured out right away. Explore different roles, stay curious, try new things, and learn from every experience. Each opportunity can help you discover what truly feels right for you.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is the post-COVID disconnection and loneliness many people experience at work and conferences. I see a major opportunity to create meaningful ways for people to connect, build relationships, and feel a stronger sense of belonging, which can improve engagement and retention.
